Susan Maersk visits Brisbane

The 347 metre Susan Maersk visited Brisbane with the assistance of our Pilots. This is the largest container vessel to ever visit the State. The Port continues progressively optimize the use of the channels with an eye to ensuring the future needs of the State are met. Brisbane Marine Pilots is pleased to have played our role, in close collaboration with other key stakeholders such as the Port of Brisbane and Maritime Safety Queensland, to facilitate the safe movement of such large vessels within the confines of Moreton Bay and the Port. Our pilots engaged in extensive simulation work, numerous workshops and meeting to help in achieving this outcome. We look forward to continuing in working with all stakeholders to keep Brisbane as a leader among Australian Ports.
