Brenton Winn

Brenton Winn joined Brisbane Marine Pilots in 2005. He has been a Director since November, 2008 and was appointed Managing Director in 2010. Brenton has over 13 years of pilotage and port management experience. Following an 18 year career at sea with ANL and ASP, Brenton served as a marine pilot in Derby, Broome and Mackay before moving to Brisbane. His experience gives him an extensive knowledge of shipping and port practice. He holds a Bachelor of Business (Accounting) and a Graduate Diploma in Human Factors and Safety Management Systems. Brenton is a member of Australasian Marine Pilots Institute, Nautical Institute, Safety Institute of Australia and Australian Institute of Company Directors.

Geoffrey Dawson

Geoffrey Dawson commenced his maritime career in 1976 with the P&O group and during the following 20 years at sea gained extensive experience serving with P&O, Maersk Line ,Caltex, Howard Smiths and Stolt Nielsen. Geoffrey achieved his Master Class 1, at U.T. Sydney in 1988 and served as Master on ULCC's, Bulk carriers and chemical tankers. He joined Brisbane Marine Pilots in 1996 and was appointed to the Board in 2008 and has served as Company Chairman since that time. Geoffrey is a member of AMPI and AICD.

Doug was appointed to the Brisbane Marine Pilots Board in January 2011 and is a Graduate Member of the Australian Institute of Company Directors and a Full Member of the Australasian Marine Pilots Institute. Doug has worked in the maritime industry since 1991. After completing his initial qualifications he worked on a variety of vessel types but largely on oil and chemical tankers. He achieved his Master Class 1 Certificate 9 years later in 2000. Doug has been with Brisbane Marine Pilots since 2005 prior to which he worked as a pilot in the North Queensland ports of Hay Point and Mackay.

Barry first went to sea with ANL in 1971 and obtained his Masters Certificate in 1981. He then served as master in the offshore oil and gas industry for 13 years before entering the pilotage industry. Prior to moving to Brisbane, Barry was a pilot with MSQ for four years in Cairns and Mackay, and also a pilot in the Great Barrier Reef for four years. Barry joined Brisbane Marine Pilots in November 2004 and was elected to the Board in November 2009.
